My name is Frank Swanson, and I’m an editor and writer. Like most people I have a lot of different interests. Writing, reading, history, science, science-fiction, movies, philosophy and, frequently, useless trivia.  I’m using this blog as a creative outlet—a place where I can articulate my thoughts about, well, whatever.

I’m particularly interested in stories and how they work. Whether it’s a short story, novel, movie or TV show, if it does something interesting or deeply affects me, then I want to examine how it does what it does.
